Jeff Smith: Jeff is well loved and well known on the West Coast from over a decade with the Oregon based "Sam Hill" band. Originally from California and now living in Banks, Oregon, Jeff grew up listening to "Cuzin' Al" on KFAT and KPIG radio out of the bay area where he steeped in the sounds of traditional bluegrass, and cut his teeth playing in a bluegrass band in High School. He is an accomplished Monroe style mandolinist, as well as lead vocalist, and prolific song writer. Jeff has recorded with Frank Wakefield and Bob Black as well as several projects with Sam Hill. Along with original material, Jeff brings to stage his rock solid rhythmic drive, and great sense of humor.

"Jeff plays bluegrass mandolin just as it should be, with respect for tradition but with a fire that makes the music seem new and alive. His songs sound like they come from the classic era. He is creative and has a stage presence that relates both to hard core audiences as well as those newer to the music." - Arthur Berman, CITR, Pacific Pickin', BC"
