A long time bluegrass radio programmer at KBOO radio in Portland, Oregon and bluegrass association activist, Dee Ann provides the band's rhythmic foundation on the upright bass. Born in Minnesota, Dee Ann kept up involvement in bluegrass while in Virginia and Alaska, finally landing in Portland, OR, where she has been a reliable rock to the Northwest bluegrass community. She has played an active role in promoting bluegrass through the IBMA, The Bluegrass At The Beach Camp hosted by the Oregon Bluegrass Association and Laurie Lewis, and at Washinton's Wintergrass festival each February.

"Dee Ann keeps the music going without calling attention to herself. She does more than her share to keep bluegrass alive in the Northwest." - Arthur Berman CITR, Pacific Pickin', BC"
